Atlas Service Works is our fully equipped bike workshop in the centre of Bridport. Every service is carried out by experienced, Cytech-qualified technicians using professional workshop tools and manufacturer-approved diagnostic equipment.
We repair and service mountain bikes, road bikes, gravel bikes, hybrids, children’s bikes and e-bikes—including bikes that weren’t purchased from Atlas.
Whether your gears need adjusting, your brakes need attention or your bike requires a complete strip-down and rebuild, we’ll explain what is needed, agree the cost with you and get you back outside.

CTL SERVICE

A comprehensive safety check and tune-up for bikes that are used regularly but don’t require extensive dismantling.
Recommended every three to six months, depending on how often and where you ride.
The CTL Service includes:
- Full bike safety inspection
- Nuts and bolts checked for correct torque
- Components inspected for wear or damage
- Gears checked, adjusted and lubricated
- Brakes checked, adjusted and tuned
- Chain checked for wear and lubricated
- Wheels checked for wear, spoke tension and alignment
- Tyres inflated to the correct pressure
- Headset checked and adjusted
- Minor wheel truing where required
- Brake pad fitting where required
The e-bike service also includes:
- Compatible system software update
- E-bike diagnostic report
- Electrical connections checked
- Battery condition checked and charged

PRECISION SERVICE
Reset. Calibrate. Maintain.
Bike £100 | E-bike £125
A more detailed service for frequently ridden bikes or bikes that need additional drivetrain, brake and wheel attention.
Recommended every six to twelve months, depending on mileage, conditions and use.
The Precision Service includes everything in the CTL Service, plus:
- Cassette and chain removed and degreased
- Drivetrain thoroughly cleaned, tuned and lubricated
- Inner gear cable replaced where required
- Wheels tensioned and trued in a workshop stand
- Wheel hub play checked and adjusted
- Brakes cleaned and performance checked
- Drivetrain components fitted where required
- Frame and fork cleaned with Muc-Off products
- Detailed inspection of moving components
- Completion report highlighting any future maintenance needs
The e-bike service also includes:
- Compatible system software update
- E-bike diagnostic report

OVERHAUL SERVICE

Our most comprehensive workshop service: a complete strip-down, deep clean and professional rebuild for heavily used bikes or bikes requiring full mechanical attention.
Recommended annually for high-mileage riders, performance bikes and bikes regularly ridden through demanding conditions.
The Overhaul Service includes:
- Full bike safety inspection
- Complete bike strip-down
- Components cleaned, lubricated and professionally reassembled
- Complete drivetrain strip and degrease
- Gears tuned and lubricated
- Inner and outer gear and brake cables replaced where required
- Wheels checked and trued
- Spoke tension checked and corrected
- Wheel hubs checked, cleaned and adjusted
- Brakes thoroughly cleaned and adjusted
- Brake rotors removed and cleaned
- Hydraulic brake bleed where required

Frequently asked questions
Do you repair bikes that weren’t purchased from Atlas?
Yes. We service and repair bikes from all retailers and manufacturers, subject to parts and technical support being available.
Do I need to book my bike in?
We recommend booking in advance so we can reserve workshop time and give you the quickest possible turnaround. You are also welcome to bring your bike in for an initial assessment.
How often should my bike be serviced?
For regularly used bikes, we generally recommend a CTL Service every three to six months and a Precision Service every six to twelve months. High-mileage bikes or bikes used in demanding conditions may benefit from an annual Overhaul Service.
Can you service e-bikes?
Yes. We service the mechanical parts of e-bikes and provide diagnostics for compatible systems, including Bosch, Shimano, Yamaha/Giant, TQ and Mahle eBikeMotion.
Will you contact me before carrying out additional work?
Yes. We’ll explain any additional work and agree the cost with you before proceeding.
Are replacement parts included in the service price?
The listed service tasks and labour are included. Any replacement components or additional repairs will be quoted and agreed before being fitted.
How long will my service take?
Most pre-booked routine services can be completed on the appointment day. More involved repairs, replacement-part availability or complete rebuilds may require additional time.
